The Monroe County Arts Alliance is made up of community arts organizations throughout Monroe County, Illinois that are interested in uniting, networking and combining resources to promote the wide variety of arts activities that currently exist in the county, as well as to promote interest in creating new activities and events.
Organized in May of 2015, Arts Alliance member representatives meet regularly to discuss ways to enhance and promote the arts to the general population of the county and to discuss ways to increase participation in existing programs. The Alliance also hopes to build attendance at all arts functions and to periodically work together to produce a large-scale event combining the resources of all community arts organizations. The art forms represented by the Monroe County Arts Alliance include music, theatre, dance and the visual arts. Finally, the Arts Alliance hopes to serve as a resource for people who are looking for arts instruction either privately or in the public schools.
