The Valmeyer Community Chorus was formed in 2009 as a part of the Village of Valmeyer’s centennial celebration taking place throughout the year. Our first concert was a holiday concert in December, 2009. Under the leadership of Marcia Braswell, the Valmeyer Community Chorus performs at least one concert per year. The chorus begins rehearsing for a concert at least two months prior to each performance. We rehearse at St John United Church of Christ in Valmeyer and our concerts are also performed there. Concerts feature not only the chorus as a whole but also solos and ensembles performed by our members. We often invite a guest organization to perform with us as well. We have performed many types of music including holiday, patriotic, broadway and more. VCC is a non-auditioned group and we invite anyone high school age or older to join us. You only need to bring along your love of singing! Welcome!
