MCAA Scholarship

The MCAA was established in 2015 and is committed to promoting the arts in Monroe County, Illinois. This scholarship is designed to financially assist a deserving student who is attending an accredited College/University to pursue a career in either visual or performing arts.

This award is for $1,000 and can be utilized for books, housing expenses, class supply fees and tuition.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA
  2. Student must be accepted as a full-time student in a 2/4 year accredited College/University
  3. Student must live in Monroe County, Illinois
  4. Student must currently be enrolled as a senior in a Monroe County, Illinois High School or be home-schooled at a senior high school level.

Application Process:

Application material must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2024, in order to be considered. Applications will be available Mid-January at www.monroecountyarts.org, or from the Guidance Counselor at your High School.

Selection Process:

Applicants will be reviewed by the MCAA committee and the awardee will be selected based on their eligibility requirements. The awardee will be notified no later than April 30, 2024. Scholarship funds will be made available no later than August 1, 2024. Funds will be presented to student in person.
