MASC is an all volunteer community theatre that services Monroe County and surrounding areas. Founded in 1999, we have produced over 80 full length plays and musicals with community members providing their acting directing and technical skills to bring our area a high quality and enriching experience. All community members in Monroe County are invited to participate in our productions. We hold open auditions and maintain an active volunteer list for those wishing to participate behind the scenes. Our theater seats 190 patrons and we sell season tickets for our 5 show season at very affordable prices. We perform 2 consecutive weekends of each show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. MASC is a 501 C3 not for profit organization. We belong to the American Association of Community theaters and the Arts For Life organization centered in St. Louis. We are located in Waterloo, IL, across from the court house and have a permanent home in the Historic Capitol Theater at 202 S. Main St. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows makes theater available to us.
