The holiday concert is also the evening we pay tribute to the memory of the Eppinger Foundation’s founding president\, Floyd Crowder. SUMMARY:The Heart of Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Join the Valmeyer Community Chorus as they present their annual holiday concert titled “The Heart of Christmas” on Sunday\, December 14 at 4:00 p.m. at St John United Church of Christ in Valmeyer.  This all-volunteer chorus will sing a variety of holiday tunes new and old.  The guest choir will be the Valmeyer High School Choir.  The concert will also benefit the Bi-County Backpack Program which serves families throughout Monroe and Randolph Counties. Guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items as a donation. There is no admission charge for the concert\, but donations will be accepted. Please help us as we usher in the holiday season!!

SUMMARY:ARTS IN THE PARK
DESCRIPTION:Join the Monroe County Arts Alliance\, the Dorothy Weinel Eppinger Foundation\, and the City of Columbia\, IL as we celebrate our third annual ARTS IN THE PARK festival on Sunday\, June 14.  This events celebrates all of the arts–visual and performing–in one glorious event.  The event takes place in Columbia’s beautiful Metter Park from 11a.m to 6p.m. The 2026 event features a SAND CASTLE ARTIST\, made possible through a grant from Arts Midwest\, who will be building a sand castle–here in the Midwest!—throughout the day.  Other features include artist vendor booths showcasing and selling their work\, performances by organization members of the Arts Alliance throughout the day\, a creative arts area for children\, a display of Monroe County High School student art work in the bandstand\, and of course food vendors with delicious fare.
