DESCRIPTION:Historic Maeystown will host the annual Spring Art Show on Saturday and Sunday\, March 21 and 22\, 2026\, from 11a.m. to 4p.m. each day at the Maeystown Preservation Society Mill and Museum.  The featured artists this year will be members of the Artists Guild of Monroe County.  This promises to be a beautiful display of a variety of local Monroe County art and creativity. SUMMARY:Maeystown Plein Air Paint Out
DESCRIPTION:If you love to paint in the outdoors/plein air style\, come to the village of Maeystown\, IL\, on Saturday\, June 6 for the annual Plein Air Paint Out.  The village welcomes artists to paint in the natural beauty of this village which is on the National Register of Historic Places in its entirety.  This is a non-competitive event and charges no entry fee.   Registration will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Preservation Society Mill and Museum.  The event ends at 2:30 p.m. Artists are encouraged to email marciabraswell@gmail.com to pre-register by Wednesday\, June 3.  Everyone is invited to attend the event to watch the artists create.  All shops and the restaurant will be open to the public on that day from 10a.m.-4p.m.  See you there!
